This is a PEST analysis of my orgtanisation.
During my time at Dronfield Junior School, going in every Wednesday, there was one Wednesday when I couldn’t go in because the teachers were on strike. The strike was because of the government’s plan to increase the age of retirement from 60 to the state pension age, which is 65, and that is set to rise to 66 in 2020 and then to 68.personally, I think that teaching at 68 would be very stressful and could cause health problems for the elderly.
‘The Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) is able to provide information about an individual as to whether or not he or she has a criminal conviction or has been charged with a criminal conviction which has expired’. www.workingwithkids.co.uk
It is very important that the teachers are prepared to go onto school trips. My first week at the school was the week in which the year 6’s went on a 4 day school trip to Paris. This meant that 6 teachers had to go on the trip and be away from family. The school is very good at arranging school trips for the pupils and they always look forward to and enjoy them.
It is also important that the teachers are first aid trained in case of an emergency. On one of my days in the school, during a PE lesson, one of the pupils had an asthma attack, but the teacher new what to do in the situation so the pupil was not put in any extra danger. In the staff room there is a first aid box, and by law
‘All first-aid containers must be marked with a white cross on a green background’

The first aid box should include the following:
· A leaflet giving general advice on first aid (see list of
publications in Annex A)
· 20 individually wrapped sterile adhesive dressings
(assorted sizes)
· Two sterile eye pads
· Four individually wrapped triangular bandages
(preferably sterile)
· Six safety pins
· Six medium sized (approximately 12cm x 12cm)
individually wrapped sterile unmedicated wound
dressings
· Two large (approximately 18cm x 18cm) sterile
individually wrapped unmedicated wound
dressings
· One pair of disposable gloves.
